Match the blanket to what you already own
Throw sizing is not standardized across brands — match the blanket to how you actually use it, not to the name on the label.
| Size | Blanket Dimensions | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Throw | 50″ × 60″ | Couch, armchair, travel |
| Twin | 66″ × 90″ | Twin bed, layering, generous throw |
| Queen ★ most popular | 90″ × 92″ | Queen bed, family-sized coverage |
| King | 104″ × 92″ | King bed, full coverage |
Measurements are taken flat and follow US standard sizing. When in doubt between two sizes, take the larger one.
Between two sizes? Take the bigger one. A fit that is too small is the single most common reason this category gets returned.
How it stacks up
BEDELITE vs. the ordinary plush sherpa throw blanket
Most throws at this price look plush in photos and feel thin in person. Here is the difference line by line.
| Feature | BEDELITE | Ordinary option |
|---|---|---|
| Surface | Dense pile with a raised, textured finish | Flat fleece that goes shiny after a few washes |
| Warmth | Substantial GSM — warm without needing a second layer | Lightweight; you end up stacking two |
| Reverse side | A second finished face, so both sides look right | One printed face, one plain backer |
| Shape retention | Holds its drape and pile after washing | Pile mats down; edges curl |
| Certification | OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 | Usually none |
| Care | Machine wash cold, tumble dry low | Often hand-wash or dry-clean only |

Machine-washable care — keep it plush for years
- Machine washable and designed to maintain its softness and beauty Cold water keeps the fibers and the certified dyes intact.
- Do not bleach or use fabric softeners (they may reduce softness) Bleach works against colorfast, skin-gentle dyes.
- Machine wash cold on gentle cycle with like colors Cold water keeps the fibers and the certified dyes intact.
- Tumble dry low – remove promptly to maintain softness and fluffiness Low heat only — high heat is what mats fibers down.
- Avoid ironing; the fabric naturally resists wrinkles The pile recovers on its own; pressing flattens it.
Pro tip: a front-loading machine is gentler than a top-loader with an agitator. If you only have a top-loader, use the "bulky" or "delicate" setting and a low spin speed.

Questions people ask before buying
Is it warm enough for winter, or just for looks?
It is built for real warmth — the pile is dense enough to trap a layer of insulating air without the weight of a second blanket. On genuinely cold nights most people use it on top of their duvet rather than instead of it. Sizes available: Throw 50″ × 60″ · Twin 66″ × 90″ · Queen 90″ × 92″ · King 104″ × 92″.
Will it shed or mat down after washing?
Wash cold on the gentle cycle and tumble dry on low, then shake it out. That is what keeps the pile standing. High heat is the thing that mats faux fur down, so avoid it.
Is it safe for kids and sensitive skin?
Yes. The fabric and dyes are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, which means they have been tested against a list of harmful substances.
What size should I get?
Throw covers one person on a sofa or the foot of a bed. Twin sizes up to cover a single sleeper fully. If two people will share it, go up a size.
Does the color look the same in person?
Close, but not identical — pile fabric reads a shade deeper in warm indoor light and lighter in daylight. Allow a slight difference from what you see on screen.
Can I put it in the dryer?
Yes, on low heat. Remove it promptly and shake it out. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean.
Does it arrive compressed?
It ships vacuum-sealed, so it can look flatter than expected on arrival. Give it a few hours to fully expand and fluff it by hand.
Is it gift-ready?
It is a practical, year-round gift — housewarmings, birthdays, Christmas and dorm move-ins. It suits people whose style you do not know well, because a throw fits any room.
